English seaside Dorset

June 12, 2017
A recent holiday to Dorset. Enjoyed the beautiful English seaside, despite the unpredictable weather. There was a lot to do and see and when the sun was out the beach was perfect. This is what we did on the rainy days;
We went kite flying on the beach one windy day and walked down the beach trying to find fossils. We failed to find any fossils but enjoyed finding some interesting looking rocks.
The miniature steam railway was fun on a very foggy day, the gardens were pretty, the steam train ride was exciting but the best thing was the clown, he was great!
Beer quarry caves, very interesting to know how they cut the stones in the old days and built impressive cathedrals etc. and the drips from one part of the cave were rain water that fell 300 years ago? Wow!
Lyme Regis was so pretty, such a picturesque town, loved having cream tea and the pasties... yum!!
The tank museum, wow, I've never seen this many tanks in my whole life, very impressive and my tank loving son was over the moon, a must visit!!
And finally the sun came out and the beach was perfect!!
